My production (AKA desktop) computer is in the shop right now. I was only able to finish the Tigers wallpaper before it crapped out. I didn’t even bother trying to do the Lugnuts and Loons wallpapers on my netbook. As soon as everything is back to normal, I’ll make the other two wallpapers.
UPDATE (5/3): Lugnuts and Loons wallpapers are now up.
Enjoy!

New font! EARTH A.D. I used the “After Disaster” typeface.
A very rare May DSC that doesn’t include the Red Wings. *sigh*
Get your May Detroit Sports Calendar here.

For the third straight year ESPN bumped off the Pistons from a telecast (the 13th versus Milwaukee) so there will be no TV for that game. Most of the rest of the games should be on Fox Sports Detroit but I have conflicting information right now.
The DSC will be updated when the Red Wings’ first round playoff schedule is announced.
UPDATE (4/10): The Red Wings will be playing Nashville in the first round and the known schedule has been added. I have no firm information as what will happen on the 17th as the Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons will all be playing at the same time. I’m guessing the Pistons will be bumped off the air completely with the Tigers staying on FSD+. It’s possible we could see a game on a newly created FSD+2. Stay tuned.
Get your April Detroit Sports Calendar here.
It’s “April in the D” and Fox Sports Detroit won’t be having a stupid song to overplay this year (and that’s not an April Fool’s joke).
I’m not 100% sure on the Pistons telecasts. If any Pistons or Tigers games are bumped to FSD+, the respective wallpaper will be updated. I will not be making a playoffs wallpaper for the Red Wings.
UPDATE (4/3): The “Crosstown Showdown” game featuring the Lansing Lugnuts and Michigan State Spartans will be on BTN. The Lugnuts wallpaper has been updated. Thanks to Parker Young in the comments for this information!
Enjoy!

For Spring Training, I have included all of the pertinent TV and radio information for Tigers games. I only have TV and radio broadcasts for the opposing team if they are not available from Detroit. You may be able to find radio streams for the games; a subscription to MLB Gameday Audio or MLB At Bat will work for sure.
Every MLB Network game available for the Tigers is tape delayed. In parenthesis are the times that MLB Network will air the games.

Baseball is finally back!
All Tigers games on the MLB Network are tape delayed. Check the DSC for the times that they will be aired. The DSC also has radio information.
Enjoy!

The Red Wings are on FSD+ four times this month while the Pistons are only on it twice. I hope everyone gets FSD+ in HD by now.

Not only is the NBA playing too many games in a shortened season but they are also having the All-Star Weekend this month. It’s all about the money.
Enjoy!

The DSC also gets the retro treatment. I’ll update it when the Lions’ playoff game is announced.
Note: The Versus television channel will become the NBC Sports Network on January 2nd.
UPDATE (1/1): That was fast. The Lions will be playing in New Orleans on Saturday, January 7th at 8:00 PM on NBC. Download an updated copy if you haven’t already.
UPDATE (1/20): I had the date of the NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft wrong. Download a fixed copy if you want.

Happy New Year!
January is “Retro Month” and I went all out (well, almost; I couldn’t come up with a good background design in time). For the first time the Saginaw Spirit wallpaper gets the full treatment.
The font I used is called Reporter #2 and is the same number font that the Tampa Bay Lightning used for a number of years.
A huge thanks to these sites for the logos: Chris Creamer’s Sports Logos, LogoShak, Wikipedia, Basketballex and The Internet Hockey Database. Also, a huge thanks to ColorWerx for the color information.
Note: The Versus television channel will become the NBC Sports Network on January 2nd. I apologize for the logo used for these games but NBC didn’t design anything remotely friendly for the wallpapers.
UPDATE (1/20): I had the NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft on the wrong day for the Red Wings wallpaper. Download a fixed copy if you want.
Enjoy!

When the Pistons’ schedule is announced, I will update the DSC as soon as I can.
UPDATE (12/12): The Pistons schedule has been added to DSC along with a TV change from FSD to FSD+ for the Red Wings game at Chicago on the 30th.
Get your December Detroit Sports Calendar here.
The NBA lockout is going to end. I’ll have a Pistons wallpaper up after the schedule is announced.
UPDATE (12/12): The Pistons wallpaper is now available. The Red Wings wallpaper has also been updated (TV changed from FSD to FSD+ for the game on the 30th at Chicago).
Enjoy!

I had to make a last minute change as the Lions game in Chicago is now at 4:15 PM.
Get your November Detroit Sports Calendar here.
The NBA is still in a slap fight so there’s only hockey wallpapers again this month.
Enjoy!
Also returning for 2011 is the Lions season schedule wallpaper. I’ve made a modern and a throwback version. If the Lions get lucky enough to get flexed into Sunday Night Football, I will update both sets.
UPDATE (10/31): The game at Chicago has been moved to 4:15 PM. Both wallpaper sets have been updated.
Enjoy!

The DSC will be updated every time a certain baseball team advances to the next round.
UPDATE (10/7): The Tigers defeated the Yankees and will be playing the Rangers in the ALCS. Those times for games 4 and 5 are awful.
Get your October Detroit Sports Calendar here.
If you don’t like color scheme, blame MLB, not me.
I will update this wallpaper after every series is completed until a new champion is crowned (even in the highly unlikely event that it’s not the Detroit Tigers).
UPDATE (9/29): I changed the background accent from the green to the orange-red in the postseason color palette. I think it looks much better!
UPDATE (10/7): Tigers and the Rangers in the ALCS. I’ll have another update when the NLDS games are done.
Enjoy!
Hello out there
We’re on the air
It’s hockey night tonight!
Enjoy!
For the first time since 1987, the Detroit Tigers have won their division! Celebrate by adding a special wallpaper to your desktop!
There’s a very good chance you will see MLB Postseason wallpapers in the near future, by the way.
Enjoy!

It’s bacon!
UPDATE (9/6): Changed TV information from CSN Chicago to Versus for the game against Chicago on the 28th.
UPDATE (9/15): Fox will now be televising the Tigers game against Oakland on the 17th. Changed TV network from Root Sports Pittsburgh to NHL Network for the game against Pittsburgh on the 21st.
Get your September Detroit Sports Calendar here.
Holy wallpapers, Batman!
UPDATE (9/6): Changed TV network from CSN Chicago to Versus on the Red Wings wallpaper for the game versus Chicago on the 28th.
UPDATE (9/8): Added a Lokomotiv Yaroslavl memorial ribbon to the Red Wings and Spirit wallpapers.
UPDATE (9/15): Fox will now be televising the Tigers game against Oakland on the 17th; the Tigers wallpaper has been updated accordingly. Changed TV network from Root Sports Pittsburgh to NHL Network on the Red Wings wallpaper for the game against Pittsburgh on the 21st.
Enjoy!
They’re back for 2011. Once again, no time or TV because that would require too much updating.
Michigan: The helmet on the right side in the middle is the “Under The Lights” helmet that will be used versus Notre Dame.
Michigan State: The Spartans will be wearing Nike Pro Combat uniforms versus Michigan. I will update the helmet on the right side in the middle if there will be a special Pro Combat edition.
Also, if any teams do end up using different helmets than what are on these wallpapers, corrections will be made.
UPDATE (8/14): Western Michigan clusterfracked up their helmets by adding a “W” behind the Bronco head and Eastern Michigan tweaked their helmets in 2010 (whoops). I have corrected both teams’ helmets on the Michigan wallpapers.
UPDATE (9/13): Michigan State released their Pro Combat uniforms today. Woof. No white at all (Go Green, Go Bronze?), a “bronze” color that is much closer to gold, black pants, facemasks, wordmarks and nameplates. Looks more suited for South Florida. Anyway, both wallpaper sets have been updated since MSU will be wearing these get-ups against Michigan.
Enjoy!

I’m glad I was wrong about the NFL labor dispute. This should be the best Lions team in quite a while.
I added a little something to the Pistons logo to celebrate the NBA’s lockout. Wish I would have thought of that sooner.
Get your August Detroit Sports Calendar here.
I’ll have Michigan and Michigan State football schedule wallpapers done very soon. Lions schedule wallpapers will be made for the regular season as well.
Enjoy!

Unless we get an end to the stupid NFL/NFLPA squabbles, this will be the last Tigers-only DSC of the year. Don’t count on it.
